Come And Get It!

So, chief raghead Osama Yo-Mama of Al-Qowardi not only praises that waste of protoplasm known as Al-Zarqawi, but also "demands" the returns of his body.

Well, we've got a message for you, pal:

Come and get it.

If you dare.

Stop hiding behind children and the skirts of women and come get it, you miserable son of a goat.

Or do you not have the guts?

You're really good at hiding in csves and letting your brainwashed little myrmidons do your fighting for you, aren't you? Life is good when all you have to do is release the occasional passive-aggressive diatribe against the US, you little weasel. Let's see how you fare out in the open.

We've got high school kids who could kick your sorry ass all the way back to your cave. And those are the girls, you pansy.

You want a fight? Bring it on! Not that you have the guts, you emasculated dog.

You want to die for your cause? Fine by us. There are any number of us who'd be glad to oblige you. But we give you fair warning: one of our best generals once said "No poor dumb bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his country."

You think Allah's got 72 virgins waiting for you? We'll be more than happy to let you find out. They'd probably line up to kick your sorry ass too.

Too bad your such a cowardly little swine that you can't face any of us directly. We can't help but wonder whether those poor fools who are sacrificing themselves for you will ever wake up and realize what a spineless little jellyfish you really are.

You want Zarqawi's corpse? Come and get it. We'll arrange for side-by-side graves for you.

Saving Tax Dollars

Thanks to Bane for pointing us to
this.

So much for "strong, independent womyn", eh?

Best quote: "Denton recently was criticized for demanding expensive remodeling to her campus home and for helping her partner secure a top-paying university position."

Yeah, her "partner". Uh-huh. That would be the lesbian who lived with her, wouldn't it?

Left-Wing Lexicon

It seems that many of you out there are having no little difficulty communicating with liberals. This, of course, is because liberals speak "Liberalese", a dialect which bears about as much resemblance to Standard English as Ebonics does.

In an effort to grease the skids a bit, we now present a translation of some of the more common words and idioms of Liberalese.

Mainstream: our position

Right-wing: anyone to the right of Karl Marx

Extreme right-wing: anyone to the right of FDR

Hate speech: any speech we don't like or can't refute

Hate crime: any crime committed by a white, heterosexual, Christian male against anyone who is not a white, heterosexual, Christian male

Progressive: progressing toward Socialism

Social justice: an outcome we want

Fair: see "Social Justice"

Rich: anyone with money in the bank

Very Rich: anyone with money in more than one bank

Nazi: Vox Day (OK, just kidding with that one)

Racism: anything that works to the disadvantage of Officially Sanctioned Minorities

Minority: anyone except white, heterosexual, Christian males

Art: anything created by an artist; it should always be funded by tax money

Artist: anyone who creates art

Strong, independent woman: liberal female

Poor: liberals who don't have money in the bank

Working poor: liberals with money in the bank

Failed economic policies: not spending enough money on programs favored by liberals

Spending cut: a smaller rate of increase in spending than what liberals want

Miserable failure: not progressing fast enough toward Socialism

Technicality: A Constitutional right that leads to a result that liberals don't agree with (example: O.J. was innocent, but Karl Rove got off on a technicality)

Constitution: a "living" document that says what liberals want it to say, changeable without notice

Diversity: anything that does not include northern European Christian culture.

Left-wing extremist: no such thing exists

"War Hero"?

What "war hero"? Thanks loads to Bane for posting this.

What a gigantic fraud. He's even worse than that cretin Cleland from Georgia.

Stupid Quote Of The Week

Incredibly stupid. In this case, monumentally stupid.

Yesterday, as friends tried to comfort her, Rona Schrum said, "I will probably never understand why God has chosen to do that to me."

No, ma'am. God didn't do that. The gun didn't do that. Mujtaba Rabbani Jabbar did that.

Grief is no excuse for stupidity. Put the blame where it belongs.

At the risk of pionting out the painfully obvious, of course, if Mr Shrum (or anyone else in the theatre) had had a gun, the outcome might have been a tad different.

Thanks and a nod of the head to Kim du Toit for calling our attention to this. (Note: Kim's site is being moved this week, and the normal link doesn't work all that well. As soon as he's back, we'll link to his article.)

One Dam Thing After Another

Santa sent this to The Old Sarge, who passes it along:

This is an actual letter sent to a man named Ryan DeVries by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Quality, State of Pennsylvania. This guy's response is hilarious, but read the State's letter before you get to the response letter.

SUBJECT: DEQ File No.97-59-0023; T11N; R10W, Sec. 20; Lycoming County

Dear Mr. DeVries:

It has come to the attention of the Department of Environmental Quality that there has been recent unauthorized activity on the above referenced parcel of property. You have been certified as the legal landowner and/or contractor who did the following unauthorized activity:

Construction and maintenance of two wood debris dams across the outlet stream of Spring Pond.

A permit must be issued prior to the start of this type of activity.

A review of the Department's files shows that no permits have been issued. Therefore, the Department has determined that this activity is in violation of Part 301, Inland Lakes and Streams, of the Natural Resource and Environmental Protection Act, Act 451 of the Public Acts of 1994, being sections 324.30101 to 324.30113 of the Pennsylvania Compiled Laws, annotated.

The Department has been informed that one or both of the dams partially failed during a recent rain event, causing debris and flooding at downstream locations. We find that dams of this nature are inherently hazardous and cannot be permitted. The Department therefore orders you to cease and desist all activities at this location, and to restore the stream to a free-flow condition by removing all wood and brush forming the dams from the stream channel. All restoration work shall be completed no later than January 31, 2006.

Please notify this office when the restoration has been completed so that a follow-up site inspection may be scheduled by our staff.

Failure to comply with this request or any further unauthorized activity on the site may result in this case being referred for elevated enforcement action.

We anticipate and would appreciate your full cooperation in this matter. Please feel free to contact me at this office if you have any questions.

Sincerely,
David L. Price
District Representative and Water Management Division.

Here is the actual response sent back by Mr. DeVries:

Re: DEQ File No. 97-59-0023; T11N; R10W, Sec. 20; Lycoming County

Dear Mr. Price,

Your certified letter dated 12/17/02 has been handed to me to respond to. I am the legal landowner but not the Contractor at 2088 Dagget Lane, Trout Run, Pennsylvania.

A couple of beavers are in the (State unauthorized) process of constructing and maintaining two wood "debris" dams across the outlet stream of my Spring Pond. While I did not pay for, authorize, nor supervise their dam project, I think they would be highly offended that you call their skillful use of natures building materials "debris". I would like to challenge your department to attempt to emulate their dam project any time and/or any place you choose. I believe I can safely state there is no way you could ever match their dam skills, their dam resourcefulness, their dam ingenuity, their dam persistence, their dam determination and/or their dam work ethic.

As to your request, I do not think the beavers are aware that they must first fill out a dam permit prior to the start of this type of dam activity.

My first dam question to you is:
(1) Are you trying to discriminate against my Spring Pond Beavers?
(2) Or do you require all beavers throughout this State to conform to said dam request?

If you are not discriminating against these particular beavers, through the Freedom of Information Act, I request completed copies of all those other applicable beaver dam permits that have been issued. Perhaps we will see if there really is a dam violation of Part 301, Inland Lakes and Streams, of the Natural Resource and Environmental Protection Act, Act 451 of the Public Acts of 1994, being sections 324.30101 to 324.30113 of the Pennsylvania Compiled Laws, annotated.

I have several concerns. My first concern is; aren't the beavers entitled to legal representation? The Spring Pond Beavers are financially destitute and are unable to pay for said representation -- so the State will have to provide them with a dam lawyer. The Department's dam concern that either one or both of the dams failed during a recent rain event, causing flooding, is proof that this is a natural occurrence, which the Department is required to protect. In other words, we should leave the Spring Pond Beavers alone rather than harassing them and calling their dam names.

If you want the stream "restored" to a dam free-flow condition please contact the beavers -- but if you are going to arrest them, they obviously did not pay any attention to your dam letter, they being unable to read English.

In my humble opinion, the Spring Pond Beavers have a right to build their unauthorized dams as long as the sky is blue, the grass is green and water flows downstream. They have more dam rights than I do to live and enjoy Spring Pond. If the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection lives up to its name, it should protect the natural resources (Beavers) and the environment (Beavers' Dams).

So, as far as the beavers and I are concerned, this dam case can be referred for more elevated enforcement action right now. Why wait until 1/31/2006? The Spring Pond Beavers may be under the dam ice then and there will be no way for you or your dam staff to contact/harass them then.

In conclusion, I would like to bring to your attention to a real environmental quality, health problem in the area. It is the bears! Bears are actually defecating in our woods. I definitely believe you should be persecuting the defecating bears and leave the beavers alone.

If you are going to investigate the beaver dam, watch your step! The bears are not careful where they dump!

Being unable to comply with your dam request, and being unable to contact you on your dam answering machine, I am sending this response to your dam office.

THANK YOU.

In For A Penny

... but not for a pound.

Most curious. It seems like religious freedom is only for a select few.

Maybe mainstream Christians need to start lopping off some heads in order to improve their standing with the gummint.

Useless Statistics

The AP now reports that the number of millionaires worldwide is at an all-time high. There are, as you might imagine, two problems with their worthless statistics.

The first involves inflation. Let's face it, a million bucks doesn't go as far as it used to. Had they bothered to adjust their numbers for the inflation of the world's money supply, there would probably be no story.

The other problem, of course, is how the discrete number of millionaires translates into a percentage of the world population. Again, there would probably be no story.

But some people never let the facts get in the way of a good story.

The Plot Sickens

Since any decent prosecutor could get a grand jury to indict a ham sandwich, we have to wonder whether the prosecutor in the Cynthia McKinney case didn't do his job properly, or if the grand jury simply chickened out (shades of Rodney King).

(For the love of all that's holy, try not to look at that picture in the article.)

Note that the officer had tried three times to stop her before she assaulted him. Now, just what do you think would have happened had you not stopped after the first attempt?

More School Daze

Things haven't changed much among high schoolers. Now two of them have gotten into trouble with The Powers That Be for quoting (gasp!) Hitler in their yearbook. Pity the poor souls who thumb thru the yearbook and actually read the quotes chosen by the various students. (As if that's ever happened!) There was no word in the article , though, as to whether or not the quotes were actually attributed to Hitler, or merely cited without attribution.

In typical fashion, the Left rejects ideas based not on the merits of the ideas themselves, but rather on the proponent(s) of the ideas. The two quotes in question ("Strength lies not in defense, but in attack." and "The great masses of people ... will more easily fall victims to a big lie than to a small one.") were both taken from Hitler's "Mein Kampf". On the face of it, they both seem to not only have merit, but to be especially appropriate for our day and age.

Cowardice among school administrators is nowhere more in evidence than in their non-plan to take action against the responsible parties ("School officials would not comment on whether they would discipline the two seniors or Runyan."). Apparently, they're too busy arranging grief counselors for those poor unfortunates who were so devastated by ideas they might or might not agree with from people they find disagreeable.

One cannot help but wonder what would have happened had the quotes come from Stalin.

Media Whores

(With apologies to Vox Day for stealing that expression.)

So much has been written about the brouhaha surrounding Ann Coulter's denunciation of these few individuals who have pimped themselves out to the extreme left wing of the Demoncrap Party that almost anything we'd write would be pretty much redundant. However, a few points remain to be made.

For one thing, the delightful Miss Coulter isn't doing anything that the Lunatic Left hasn't been doing since the '60s. (Although they do enjoy the advantage of having their drug-addled "brains" to use as a handy excuse for their sociopathic behavior and rhetoric.) We find nothing written or spoken by Miss Coulter to come even close to some of the vile rantings of the Lunatic Left.

True to form, Miss Coulter's detractors have no refutation of her facts, observations, or conclusions, engaging only in ad hominem attacks against her personally, using lies and distortions.

One of the glaring disparities between the Left and everyone else is that when someone not on the Left does go a bit "over the top", the rest of their crowd reins them in. Not so with the Left. Their most outrageous attacks are always defended on the grounds of "free speech". Well, free speech is not the same as cheap talk.

Of course, in typical fashion, what really infuriates these cretins is not her inflammatory rhetoric, but the fact that she is right. Using the tragic death of others to not only insulate themselves from criticism but also attack the very people who have at least tried to rectify matters is reprehensible in the extreme. One cannot help but wonder what the dearly departed must think of what is being said and done in their name.

Looking at The Larger Picture, there's a world of difference between quite rightly pointing out the moral deficiencies of those who would prostitute themselves and their dead for a political agenda, and engaging in the sort of empty-headed and despicable rantings of Moveon.org, Democraticunderground, and Err Amerika -- organizations dedicated to destroying America as we have known it and replacing it with nothing more than a Soviet-style concentration camp.

Now, if we could just get a couple of decent meals into Miss Coulter and put some curves on those bones....

Eschewing Obfuscation

Thanks to World Net Daily for passing along this little gem on Americans' poor writing habits.

Those might be the Top Ten, but there are a couple of others that bear mention.

One is the misplaced apostrophe. The years between 1990 and 1999 are properly referred to as the '90s, not the 90's.

The second is using "that" to refer to people. "That" refers to non-humans; human beings are properly referred to as "who", or "whom" or "whose".

The third is the propensity to use "may" where "might", "can", or "could" would be proper.

And, thanks to the advent of the earliest text editors (which made no distinction between the "hard" hyphen and the "soft" hyphen), it seems as though the hyphen has long since fallen out of favor. A person who works for himself or herself is "self-employed", not "self employed".

Lastly comes the annoying habit of those who claim they "could care less" about correct grammar and spelling. Frankly, we couldn't care less about such people's stupidity.

"Support"? What Support?

Thanks and a tip of the hat to Lem over at Hillbilly White Trash for reporting on this.

We've known all along that these peace activists useful idiots were nothing but a bunch of liars and hypocrites. These people have no shame. Now a Marine proves that we were right.

Semper Fi, young man. And Godspeed.

.

Apocalypse Now And Then

Yeah, the world's still here. Get used to it. It's not going anywhere anytime soon.

The same cretins who've been running around with their hair on fire because today is "6-6-06" are most likely the same one who thought the world would end on January 1, 2000 in the obviously mistaken belief that that was the start of the new millenium (which, as anyone who can count knows, didn't start until a year later).

The Old Sarge reminds us that Heinlein was right: the two most common elements in the universe are hydrogen and stupidity.

The (Grand Old) Party's Over

When such luminaries as George Will, Peggy Noonan and Pat Buchanan give up on the GOP, it's all over but the shouting. Ms. Noonan makes some excellent points concerning the sorry state of the bi-factional ruling party.

The need for a strong third party was known even before the Libertarian Party was founded in 1971. The differences amonth the minor parties are far less than the differences between them and the Republicrats. As far back as 2000, The Old Sarge sent an e-mail to the contacts listed for several of the minor parties, suggesting that they settle their differences and make common cause against the other two. It is most unfortunate that nothing ever came of it.

If the Libertarians could ever get rid of the anarchists and whackos and draft someone like Ron Paul (again!), there's a strong possibility they could take the White House. However, the White House is not where the power is, nor is it where a third party could make the biggest and best difference. If a third party could capture just 10% of the seats in Congress, they could have a major impact. (How many votes in Congress are decided by a margin of less than 10%?)

Ross Perot showd in '92 that it can be done. The current mess shows that it be must done.

.

The Oracle Speaks

Once again, the lovely and talented Ann Coulter nails it. Go read.

As a side note, if the left-wing loonies in this country are so obsessed with having a woman President, why don't we nominate Ann?
