Damning With Faint Praise

(Hat tip to Dr. Helen for this one.)

Or maybe it's a case of sour grapes. Apparently, Fox News is beating the Commie News Network severely about the head and shoulders. Imperfect though it might be, Fox News does obviously put effort into being fair and balanced. More than that, they provide a much-needed counter voice to the ABCNNBCBS cabal.
"The fact that one network may have eked out a slight edge in one small slice of the overall business really doesn't say much of anything," Jon Klein, CNN U.S. president, said on Friday. "It's more clear than ever, given the way that our competitors have positioned themselves, that CNN has positioned itself as the real news network."

That has to be the most hilarious quote in years. Reminds us of the old joke from the '70s about a race between an American car and a Russian car. The American car won handily, but the report in the Russian media remarked that the American car had finished next to last, whereas the Russian car had finished in second place.

Showing just how out of touch with real America they are, former Washington Bureau chief goes on to claim that people are "more interested in hearing things through an ideological prism as a form of entertainment, it diminishes the value of independent voices giving straight news". Of course, FNC's meteoric rise couldn't possibly have anything to do with their absence of ideology, could it?

Life must be tough when people stop buying your propaganda.

Ask Amy

Via Vox Day, hat tip to Dr. Helen for the heads-up.

In an age when writings on relationships are overwhelmingly pro-female and/or anti-male, it's refreshing to see that there are at least two women who are willing to acknowledge the male side of the equation.

Go. Read. Link.

More power to both of them.

Unequal Rights Amendment

Unable to achieve preferential treatment by amending the US Constitution, the feminazis are trying to force it through the back door by promoting yet another misbegotten UN treaty. It wouldn't be so bad if they were in fact seeking truly equal rights, but that has never been their goal. It's always been about special treatment. Strong, independent women have no need of such favoritism, and this "treaty" will do nothing to improve the lot of those it purports to help.

Of course, this begs the question of how far a treaty or amendment would get if it were crafted to "eliminate All forms of discrimination against Men". Well, the answer to that question is obvious. Remember: all people are equal, but some are more equal than others.

A Most Excellent Idea

(Hat tip to Neal Boortz for this one.)

Amazing that a student (albeit a law student) would come up with this.

And since Governor Smiley wants so badly to be POTUS, we'll throw him in, too. And good riddance.

(Now all we have to do is see who gets which states and plan our move accordingly. Hopefully, somewhere with mountains.)
