Another Wrong Question
Even though Fox News goes to great lengths to be fair and balanced, they're not immune to approaching an issue from the wrong angle.
Check Sunday's listings. At 6pm EDT, they'll be running a program on airline security titled: "Airline Security: Are we doing enough?"
With all due repect to the good folks at FNC, that's the wrong question. The correct question is: "Are we doing the right things?" Unfortunately, the obvious answer is "no".
So long as the screeners keep hassling little old ladies, teenagers, and Medal of Honor recipients and refuse to single out the obvious potential hijackers, this country is in grave danger. To our national shame, proper security has taken a back seat to political correctness.

In the fantasy-world our politicians live in, the scenario of shaking down everybody else when the bank-robbery suspect is a 7'4" redhead in a white Caddilac Escalade wearing a blue suit makes perfect sense.
God's grace is a wonderful thing not to be under-estimated.
I would not be at all surprised if, at the Judgement, they retire the numbers of the guardian angels that somehow managed to protect the United States INSPITE of the mind-boggling stupidity
of its so-called leaders!
You're probably right about the angels protecting this country.
OTOH, there are probably some especially hot regions of Hell reserved for those who have sold this country out.
Obvious potential hijackers??
Thats not very specific.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that your talking about racial profiling. care to verify?
and I hate to keep saying this, but I still dont hear a reason.
kathanda dear...Put down the freaking bong and employ a little common sense.
Occams razor, if you know what that is.
If the last 95 out of 100 terrorist attacks were committed by Muslim males of Middle-Eastern decent between the age of 17 and 30, you would be utterly and totally clueless to avoid profiling that group entirely, the way our damned so-called Transportation Security Agency is doing!
I would hope you are simply stoned when you come up with this kind of foolishness, though I fear you're one of those ACLUnatics: If you fire off something about environ-MENTAL-ism&/"global warming" on these threads it's going to be taken as a dead giveaway!
Im actually completely sober thank you very much. (though legalizing certain substances would do america a world of good)
Notice, I didnt say anything for or against racial profiling, I just suggested that doh-san say what he means for once. Just for the record, I think everyone has the potential to harm others, and if they are searching bags or people, they should search them all. You cant be any more safe than that people.. and thats not the pot speaking. If your willing to sacrifice the privacy of all those middle-eastern males, then you should be able to sacrifice your own as well. Fairness people.
The fact it's not the pot speaking is even scarier.
The way we let people in here that hate us for all kinds of stupid, sycophantic, altruistic excuses because we don't want to "offend" the murdering Islamic fanatics smacks of "President Wuss" using the phrase "Islamofachist", then dropping it like a hot rock when the CAIR raghead started whining.
It's either a war - as the neocon-artists insist - or it isn't. In a war, the minimum that happens is the enemy gets offended. In a police-action scam like this, we get killed because we're too freaking worried about "world opinion" about "acting unilatterally" to do what needs to be done to an enemy we won't even name!
Punishing the innocent with the guilty is the worst kind of ignorance. Looking good is not as important as doing what is right.
I think your a raging lunatic...
Searching people and their bags is hardly punishment, so unless you've changed sugjects completely, you should drop the whole 'punishing innocent wiht the guilty bullshit' And also, the average middle eastern man that you might encounter at the airport is probably not the enemy. He just happens to have some of the same physical features... and you know what happens to people who judge books by their covers.... no, well I'll tell you... they're Ignorant.
Sorry but we're just not going to agree on this one.
When you consider that 100% of the airline hijackers over the last 30 years have been young men of Middle Eastern descent, it would be suicidally stupid to not target them for additional scrutiny.
If they don't like it, maybe they should do something about stopping the terrorist, not stopping the profiling. After all, if you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem.
