The Pigeons Come Home

Even though we normally read only linked excerpts of his columns, Victor Davis Hanson offers up an excellent analysis of the Democrats' current dilemma. After laying the blame for their failures on Bush, conservatives in general, the rich, Christians, and just about anyone else to the right of Karl Marx, they've finally gotten around to blaming The Empty Suit.

It's truly sad to watch this cannibalistic self-destruction, but to paraphrase The Iron Lady (Maggie Thatcher) the problem with liberalism is that after a while, you run out of other people to blame.

Being incapable of seeing the problem staring at them from the mirror, liberals would prefer to believe that the rest of us "just don't understand" their message. Heaven forfend that they might finally come to the conclusion that we do indeed understand their message -- we simply don't agree with it.

But then, liberalism was never about rational thinking anyway, so what do you expect?

To recapitulate &/reiterate: It is more accurate to call them Progressives than Liberals, because they haven't been about liberty since 1968, and "Most fatal diseases are progressive."
The TEA Party, which should actually be called "Neocons For Palin", will get their GOP majority in Congress, which will do nothing about the Deathcare Bill, because it requires a 4/5ths majority vote for repeal. Instead, they will put on a charade Impeachment of Obama that will accomplish as much as Impeaching Clinton did: Nothing.
They will push for a Palin nomination in 2012 that will basically giftwrap another term for Barry.
You're welcomed!

Apparently, neither side of the bi-factional ruling party really believes in freedom. But the GOP does a better job of faking it.

It will be fun to watch the Tea Partiers hold their feet to the fire, though.

The HealthScare Bill can be handled by simply not funding it. Let's see if the Republicans have the guts to do that.
